Probably one of the most difficult loads within the haulage industry to secure is a double deck curtain sider due to the height of the upper deck. With the FS 200 double deck system straps can easily be placed and loads secured from the ground. Systems can be a mixture of fixed and moveable straps depending on the style and compartment sizes on the trailer.
Where a load requires containment when strapped down, mesh net systems are ideal for keeping everything together. (More content to follow)
Widely adopted by the drinks industry, the fixed kite system is the restraint of choice for many of the UK’s largest drinks distributors. With a consistent load of palletised goods or shrink wrapped bottles and cans, the kite system consistently covers and restrains pallet sized loads that are often made up of many different products.
With the height of drinks vehicles tending to be lower, fork lift damage can be an issue if anything protrudes below pelmet height. The FS200 fixed kite system neatly tucks above the pelmet height and leaves no mechanical parts in the line of damage from enthusiastic or under pressure forklift drivers.
The kite sizes can be varied to cover one pallet, two or even span the full length of the vehicle dependent on preference.
A moveable system will allow more flexibility if the load is not always conforming to standard pallet sizes.
Generally used for heavier products such as gas, drums, drink kegs and more abrasive cornered products. The cargo net can be produced with a wide or small square section dependant on the load being carried.
Sheet systems are commonly used for uneven loads, bagged products or even fragile cargo. The sheet system contains ratchet straps at evenly spaced intervals along the length of the sheet.
If you experience loads with varying height, extra sheet can be added to accommodate for the drop and gain in height over the length of the vehicle. When loading an even load, the extra sheet and straps can be simply stored at the end of the vehicle without any obstruction or interference.
Sheets can be manufactured to any configuration, often operators have a two or three sheet combination within the vehicle.
The FS 200 can be used with the most common of load restraint, the ratchet strap. Easily moveable into position or moved out the way when loading the vehicle.
Each strap is individually suspended from the FS200 carriage allowing the strap to be permanently stored in the vehicle reducing the chance of loss or theft of straps. Many operators have considerably reduced costs with replacement of lost or stolen straps.
Most common applications allow for a strap every metre or for every row of pallets carried. Extra strap can be added if required.
